If you find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of San Ignacio in La Habana, Cuba, make sure to carve out some time to visit the charming Chocolate House and Museum. Nestled in this bustling neighborhood, this café is more than just a quick stop for your sweet tooth; it's an experience that celebrates the rich history and artistry of chocolate making.

The cafe serves a range of delicious, homemade chocolate drinks that will surely tantalize your taste buds. Each concoction boasts a unique balance of sweetness that is just enough to energize you for your adventures. Customer A A raved about the "really fast service" and confirmed that the cold chocolate was nothing short of "amazing". The iced chocolate, priced at a mere 100 CUP, is perfect for those hot Cuban days and comes with a warning about ice, which is a welcomed accompaniment to many drinks in the region.

While the name may suggest an extensive museum experience, don't let that mislead you. Indeed, the Chocolate House offers a charming glimpse into the world of chocolate, sharing insights about its history, ingredients, and even showcasing old production tools. Customer Mirosław Siemieniuk pointed out its educational value, deeming the experience "generally interesting and worth visiting." It's the perfect blend of indulgence and knowledge, leaving you satisfied both in palate and mind.

The atmosphere is equally inviting, filled with the lively buzz of patrons from all corners of the globe engaging in heartfelt conversations over their chocolate delights. As noted by customer Okrang Cheon, this café is not just about the drinks; it's also an opportunity to mingle with local Cubans and fellow travelers—a melting pot of cultural exchange wrapped in every delicious sip.

Overall, Chocolate House and Museum transcends the ordinary café experience. Whether you're a chocolate aficionado or a curious traveler, this delightful spot promises not just treats, but also memories to savor long after your visit. Make it a point to stop by; your taste buds will thank you!

The name is misleading - its not a museum pre se, just a cafe with some info about history of chocolate, about ingredients used in productin, old tool used in production, etc. Generally interesting and worth visiting. Moreover their choco is home made / hand made.

Not sure about negative experiences. We came here twice on different days and had no problems. Service was fast. We tried both the cold and hot versions of the chocolate drinks. Be aware that the cold has ice in it, but after trying unsuccessfully to avoid ice, we gave up and basically had no problems at all with ice in drinks in the 4 places we visited in Cuba. Cold version was very refreshing in the hot afternoon. Hot version was also very good. Not exactly the same as Chocolat L'Africain from Angelina's in Paris, but still pretty good, and it only costs 85 cuban pesos = $0.25 USD. Hot versions mostly dark chocolate taste. Cold version was sweeter and more like milk chocolate / malty taste to me with a milder taste with the ice. Both were great! Not sure why there would be any confusion with the bill. The prices are clearly printed on the small menu on a stand on each table in Cuban pesos. We had no problems with the bill, and left the standard 10% tip, which given the prices was trivial. Total paid was ~$1.75 USD for 6 chocolate drinks total including tip. We always only paid with Cuban pesos. First time we came, they had some small pastries on offer. The second time a week later, they only had the hot and cold chocolate. We did not have to wait for a seat and were served the drinks within 5 minutes.

Could enjoy cold and hot chocolate drinks and there were many people from all over the world! Sweetness but not very sweet.. I mean it was just good enough to get more energies for the city trip! Was very nice to chat with Cuban people!

Just 100 CUP for an iced chocolate, which was the only thing they had available. Definitely not a museum or much to see, but the chocolate drink is undoubtedly tasty enough for us to want to come back again. There may be lines on the weekends though.
